Another Sunday Afternoon Of...

Spitting.

Smiling.

Listening.

Thinking.

Getting into Mischieve.

Learning.

Searching.

Watching.

Hanging.

Doing the Robot. HA!

Scooting.

Laughing.
And, Of Course, What's a Sunday Afternoon Without Some Napping.

Yep, Just Another Sunday Afternoon of Enjoying Our Jovi!

My Little Green Angel

"Let me grab those paws, Isaac."

"I love you, Isaac."

"What are you doin' up there buddy? Wanna come play?"

Sweet face looking at mommy.

"Hi Mommy!"

Crawling around from toy to toy.

My Sweet Big Girl

It's amazing how one day out of the blue a baby can just do something.

Jovi is now sitting up on her own.

When I go to get her out of her crib she is sitting up and smiling her big beautiful smile.

We even had to move her mattress down in her crib, cause she is starting to pull up.

She is officially a big girl!

My little baby is not "little" anymore.

I was glancing at the old blog posts of when she was first born,
and I couldn't believe how different she is now.
How far she has come.
Rolling over, eating, holding her bottle, smiling, laughing, crawling, sitting, and every day something new. Isn't life amazing through the innocence of a child.
Watching her learn new things...things that we take for granted as an adult.
I love watching the fascination in her eyes when she is looking at something simple.
Something I walk by 100 times a day, and never take a second glance at.
It seems like she was just born. Although Ben says it seems like she has been here forever.
He can't even remember what it was like before she was born.
Personally, I don't want to remember that, because I could never imagine my life without
my precious little girl. She is what I was put on earth for.
I hope I am always able to tell her how special she is to me, and I hope she always knows how loved she is.
My little Jovi sweetheart, you are the best thing mommy has ever done.

Helpin' Daddy

Jovi likes to help daddy work when he is on call.

"Daddy you work so hard for our family."

"Hmmm...Daddy your work is interesting."

"Ummm...Daddy, I think you've got something on your face."

Angel's Lullaby for Jovi

I was never alive...
til the day I was blessed with you.
When I hold you late at night...
I know what I was put here to do.
I turn off the world and listen to you sigh,
and I will sing my angel's lullaby.
Know one's forever near...
the one you can always call.
Right now all you know to fear...
are the shadows on your wall.
But I'm here close enough to kiss the tears you cry,
and I will sing my angel's lullaby.
So tell me how to stop the years from racin'.
Is there a secret someone knows?
I'll never catch all the memories I'm chasin'.
Never be ready to let go.
So when the world seems cold...
it feels like all of your strength is gone.
Believe in one tiny voice...
your reason to carry on.
And when I'm not close enough to kiss the tears you cry...
You will sing your angel's lullaby.
Let this be my angel's lullaby.

The Lady In Red

Cold Weather

We're so glad it is finally getting cold!

Jovi is still sporting her 3 month old sweaters for now.
They work as 3/4 length sleeves, at least, for the fall.

We had to buy her some big girl socks, cause she just keeps on growing.

Mommy sure is happy her sweet bows still fit.
Although I don't know that Daddy feels quite the same.
She is sitting up by herself, crawling by herself, and even starting to pull up a little bit.

I can't believe she is about to have her 9 month appointment.
We are anxious to see what her measurements are.
At her 6 month appointment she was 95% on height, weight, and head size.
And maybe we will be able to start giving her some grown up food.
I can't believe how fast she has grown!
TIME FOR BABY MCCARTY #2!
Just kidding...not yet.
