Ben's War Comes to An End!

I thought I would post a brief update on Ben's war for all of you loyal followers. (HA HA).

It appears that the neighbors across the street have sold one of their cars, and we have had a car-free curb for the last two and a half weeks. We are hoping this is the end of our car parking feud.

Our house has been practically curse-free (with the exception of the Texas Tech game) for the past few weeks. Ben has not come home ranting and raving about the "ignorant neighbors." Little Jovi no longer has to muffle her ears in my stomach. Thank goodness for the person that bought that hunk of junk. They have unknowingly brought peace back to our neighborhood. Thank you unknown buyer. You're our hero! :)

The McCarty family is so pumped. The game against the Longhorns last night was awesome. Of course, we thought we were going to have heart attacks about 100 times, but it was SOOOOO worth it. BEST GAME EVER!

Our friends, Don and Angie, were here with their little 10 1/2 month old baby, Aynslee, and she was scared too death with all the yelling, and whooping. HA HA. She cried everytime anyone yelled. Poor little baby! So then we started clapping and saying, "YEA!!!" So she would not get so upset.

BUT...the Red Raiders did it! They beat the #1 team, and now we are on for next weekend. We'll keep our fingers crossed for next week's game against Oklahoma State. Hopefully, we will stay undefeated, and continue to move up in the ranks!

Winter Babies!

I wanted to add a special "Shout Out" to my Preggo Ladies. It has been so special getting to share my pregnancy with you girls. I can't wait to meet your little ones in December and January. Winter Babies are awesome!

Baby Shower Weekend...October 18th!!!

We had our baby shower in Houston on the 18th, and it was great. I enjoyed getting to see everyone, and Jovi got lots of adorable baby gifts. Thanks to everyone that could attend. Sorry it is taking so long to load the pics. We were out of town this past weekend, so I am just now getting to it.

My New Rocker

I finally convinced Ben that I NEEDED a rocking chair of some sort for when Jovi arrives. He was hell bent that I could just sway back and forth at 3am to get her back to sleep. But when I told him we could get a La-Z-Boy for the living room, he changed his tune. He has always wanted a recliner, and this made the rocker a much easier sell. So we bought it a couple of weeks ago, and it was delivered today. Its so cozy, and I know it will be great for those late night feedings.

Ben came straight home from work, and sat in it. He is so excited. I figure he can sit in it until I have a screaming baby, then he will have to move or lose it. HA HA.

Ben had a not so wonderful time putting together Jovi's crib. He was sweating and cursing, but we got it done. It looks great. Now if we could only get a mattress for it, ha ha.
